Are You Still Waiting For The Stars To Align?
Apr 27, 2026What If You Just Decided?
What would it look like if you simply made a decision today about the dream or goal you have been waiting on the perfect timing for?
What if, instead of looking for one more sign, you just committed?
Anniston and I do not live what most people would call normal lives. We move at a different pace. We trust quickly. We act boldly. And to many of the people closest to us, some of our biggest decisions have looked wild, irrational, or irresponsible.
But that is only because most people are waiting.
Waiting for the right day.
The right amount of money.
The right feeling.
The right level of certainty.
And in that waiting, years pass.
I know this because I have built my life by choosing differently.
I started a company and grew it to multiple seven figures, only to walk away from it because I felt called to move to the beach. Years of work. My life savings. Everything I had built. And in a single moment, I knew it was time to leave.
The truth is, this way of living did not begin there.
Anniston and I were both making bold moves long before we met each other.
She left a prestigious job that most people would have held onto tightly because she wanted to teach English in Thailand for a year.
When I met Anniston, I knew almost immediately she was the one. Within a week, I resigned from my high-paying job because it would have required me to spend too much time away from her. Within weeks, I had ordered her custom engagement ring. Within six months, we were married.
We have so many stories like this.
Not because we are reckless.
But because we understand something most people resist.
If you do not move, you will still be wishing.
If you do not decide, you will still be waiting.
And that perfect moment you think is coming?
It is not coming.
I believe it is designed that way.
We are meant to trust and move forward. We are meant to take action before every detail is clear. Not without wisdom. Not without discernment. But certainly not with the illusion that life only works once every variable has been handled.
Anniston and I always dreamed of living in Wilmington, North Carolina. We have built a beautiful home here, and this place has been magical for us. I will save the full story for another day, but what I can tell you is that neither of us had ever been to North Carolina, let alone Wilmington, before we decided it was where we were meant to be.
And now, two weeks ago, we decided to move to Montana.
We felt the pull.
And that was enough.
So now we are listing our house, making plans, and within six to eight weeks, we will be living there.
Is there uncertainty? Of course.
Will our house sell quickly?
Will we get a good offer?
Where exactly will we live in Montana?
Will we love the winters?
Time will tell.
But the point is this. We are going to find out because we are moving. We are taking action. We are not waiting for the stars to align before we begin.
We trust that it will unfold.
And our job is to follow the path as it reveals itself in real time.
So let me ask you:
What dream are you still waiting to act on?
What have you convinced yourself needs a little more time, a little more money, a little more reassurance before you can begin?
And more importantly, what are you keeping yourself from experiencing because you have not yet decided?
Take one small step today.
Just one.
Then take another tomorrow.
That is how lives change.
That is how dreams become real.
That is how you stop waiting and start living.
