What You Go to Bed With, You Wake Up With
Jul 27, 2026There is a spiritual truth I want to remind you of today.
If you stay frustrated, you are purchasing more future moments of frustration.
That is creation in its simplest form.
What you hold, you multiply.
What you rehearse, you reinforce.
What you emotionally invest in today, you often experience again tomorrow.
And this becomes especially important at the end of the day.
So many people come home angry, frustrated, resentful, or disappointed. They feel overwhelmed by the weight of the day, and rather than process what is there, they numb out. They scroll. They watch something. They distract themselves. They go to bed just wanting the day to be over.
But spiritually, something deeper is happening.
When you avoid the feeling, you are often avoiding the lesson.
When you numb out instead of feeling what is there, you are essentially saying to the Creator, “I am not ready to see this yet. Please give me another opportunity to learn it again later.”
And life will.
Not as punishment.
But as love.
As another opportunity to notice what you missed the first time.
This is why so many people keep living the same emotional patterns on repeat. Not because life is unfair, but because they are unconsciously postponing the lesson.
So tonight, before you go to bed, do something different.
Pause.
Breathe.
Feel what is there.
Instead of trying to escape the emotion, get curious about it. Ask:
What is the value in this?
What is this trying to show me?
What am I being invited to understand at a deeper level?
The moment you do that, your perspective begins to shift. The charge softens. The meaning changes. And with it, your emotional state changes too.
That is spiritual maturity.
Not avoiding.
Not numbing.
Not rushing to get through the day.
But being willing to sit with what arose, extract the wisdom, and release it.
Because when you do, you stop buying more of the same future.
You close the loop.
You integrate the lesson.
And you make room for a different experience tomorrow.
So let me leave you with this:
Before you go to sleep tonight, ask yourself what emotion you are carrying into tomorrow.
And if it is heavy, do not just lie down with it.
Breathe.
Release.
Ask for the meaning.
Take the wisdom.
You may find that what once felt like a hard day was actually a doorway.
